Childhood Cancer Lifeline of New Hampshire

The Childhood Cancer Lifeline of New Hampshire (CCL of NH) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that was founded in 1995 by a group of parents whose children had childhood cancer.

A diagnosis of childhood cancer is devastating for a family. Childhood cancer is treated aggressively, often with a combination of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, at a time of life when bodies are growing and developing. Treatment has a significant long-term impact on children’s endocrine, heart, and cognitive functions. Additionally, parents of children with cancer are often young, have a limited income, and they have other children to care for. One parent often needs to give up a job to take care of a child being treated for cancer.

Since their inception, the CCL of NH has been a volunteer organization dedicated to addressing the practical and emotional needs of New Hampshire families dealing with pediatric cancer. The volunteers know first-hand the trauma that a family faces when a child is diagnosed and they understand the challenges that families deal with before, during, and after a child’s treatment. The mission of the CCL of NH is to empower New Hampshire families who are coping with childhood cancer by providing knowledge, resources, assistance, and hope.
